The fact that it's even being archived here when it offers nothing of value, stolen mods from other people, pirating the original Doom games and profiting behind the developer's backs, and almost killed off Doom's modding scene is disgusting.įinally, in 2019, a group of modders released a remastered version of Classic Doom, a labor of sweat, tears and coding designed to give gamers the truly re-imagined experience they'd so desired. So fuck this asset compilation, fuck the creator of said asset compilation, and fuck anyone who defends this piece of shit.
You know you suck when there are mods that can make Doom look good without making the game's frame-rate run in the single digits with just vanilla assets. Terry WADs and their imitators and successors are trash, but at least the stupid and tactless internet trolls who created them had the common decency not steal money off other people's work. This asset compilation looks like shit, plays like shit, and was made by a shitty pirate who stolen bunch of mods from various creators - some of which were abandoned by their original authors - and has the audacity of pocketing money behind id Software's backs by selling this piece of trash in the black market and almost got the Doom modding scene killed when ZeniMax caught wind of this asset compilation (calling this a "mod" would be an insult to modders who make legitimately good content with Doom) after said jackass tried to "revive" this asset compilation when it was taken down the first time in the most asinine way imaginable.
